I love to search for new recipes in my free time. It is most convenient for me to just get on my phone and get on pinterest or google and look up recipes that way. Honestly, that’s what I usually do. Although, some of the best recipes that my mom has made come from classic cookbooks such as Better Homes and Garden. I personally have always had a dream to publish my own cookbook so I definitely still have an appreciation for them. I wanted to share with everyone some of the cookbooks I keep in my kitchen which I use on a regular basis.
I am a big fan of Chrissy Teigen and I love that she is also an amazing cook. Her cookbook is great because it has simple recipes such as guacamole, chicken wings, etc. and she also includes her famous recipes like coleslaw and lemony arugula spaghetti cacio e pepe (which is my personal favorite). There are so many different ways to turn a classic dish into your own by customizing it to make it original, which is what Chrissy does and so far they all taste amazing. I highly recommend purchasing her book off of Amazon.
One of my more recent purchases is the cookbook Forks Over Knives. I was very excited to purchase this cookbook since switching to a plant based diet back in August because that is what this cookbook is all about. The one thing that I have figured out is that there is almost always a way to make any recipe plant based. For example, if I am craving lasagna, but I don’t eat dairy, there’s an alternative for that. Same goes for meatloaf, or ice cream, etc. This cookbook has anything you could possibly think of, from condiments, to pizza, to burgers.
I have gotten recipes from Skinny Taste for many years so I have been familiar with the website and the author. All the recipes I have tried have been very good, so I decided to purchase the cookbook. Just like it says on the cover, the recipes are full of flavor, yet overall healthy and nutritious which is very important to me. If you are looking for quick easy recipes to make that will keep you full and satisfied, I recommend this cookbook.
